Tatiana Mata is a Mozambican Agriculture Economist and Rural Finance expert and the Founder & Managing Director of ELIM Serviços. She has 19 years of experience in Agribusiness,
Rural Development and Enterprise Development advising international donor agencies and
government institutions in Mozambique, Angola, Botswana, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania.
In 2014, ELIM’s Founder and Managing Director was the first woman to be elected to the
presidencies of the Mozambican Fruit Growers’ Association (FRUTISUL), the Agribusiness
Chamber within the national Confederation of Technical Associations (CTA), and the vice- presidency of the National Federation of Agricultural Associations (FENAGRI). ELIM continues to leverage these national platforms to advocate for improved practices and policies in the agriculture sector, in particular how these affect smallholder farmers, most of whom are women.
As the founder of ELIM Servicos Lda, a reputable Mozambican development consultancy, Tatiana leads active interventions to integrate farmers along commercial value chains for increased revenue and sustainable growth. In 2016, she founded Mutiana Investimentos, a wholly-women owned social enterprise which delivers farmer support by facilitating access to agricultural inputs, markets, and information.
